Hei untuvikot ja kyykkäkonkarit, Blankon ja Piocon yhteinen Kyykkäintro järjestetään keskiviikkona 26.2. klo 18 alkaen Kyykkästadionilla (yliopiston pohjoispuolella)!
Pitelit kyykkämailaa sitten ensimmäistä tai sadatta kertaa, olet tervetullut tutustumaan lajiin tai virkistämään muistiasi. Kyykkäintro on myös erinomainen mahdollisuus valmistautua jo nurkan takana häämöttävään WCOK-turnaukseen (1.3.2025). Fukseille luvassa fuksipisteitä!

Saavu paikalle ajoissa sekä säänmukaisessa vaatetuksessa. Tapahtuman mahdollistaa Oulun Akateeminen Mölökky- ja Kyykkäseura ry (OAMK ry), jolta saamme niin varusteet kuin opastuksenkin. Tapahtumalla on säävaraus. Mahdollisista muutoksista, esimerkiksi pelikentän vaihdosta, ilmoitetaan sähköpostitse.
Mikä kyykkä?
Kyykkä on vanha karjalainen ulkona pelattava peli, jota pelataan aktiivisesti opiskelijapiireissä niin meillä Oulussa kuin muuallakin. Pelin tavoitteena on poistaa kyykkiä eli puisia sylintereitä kentältä heittämällä niitä kartuilla eli kyykkämailoilla. Enemmän kyykkiä tai vähemmillä heitoilla kyykät poistanut on voittaja. Peliä voi pelata joukkueena, parina tai yksin.

Blanko and Pioco’s joint Kyykkäintro will be held on Wednesday, February 26th, starting at 18:00 at Kyykkästadion (on the northern side of campus)!
Whether you’re holding a kyykkä bat for the first or the hundredth time, you’re welcome to get to know the sport or refresh your memory. Kyykkäintro is also an excellent opportunity to prepare for the WCOK tournament looming just around the corner (March 1, 2025). Freshmen are promised freshmen points!

Arrive on time and in weather-appropriate clothing. The event is made possible by Oulun Akateeminen Mölökky- ja Kyykkäseura ry (OAMK ry), from which we receive both equipment and guidance. The event is subject to weather conditions. Any changes, such as change in playing field, will be notified by email.

What is kyykkä?
Kyykkä is an old Karelian outdoor game that is played in student circles both here in Oulu and elsewhere. The goal of the game is to remove kyykkä (wooden cylinders) from the field by throwing them with a karttu (wooden bat). The winner is the one who removes the most kyykkäs or removes the kyykkäs with the fewest throws.
